What are the Little Lotus swaddles and sleeping bags made of?

The outer layer is made of 100% cotton.  The inside is a NASA inspired fabric that helps regulate your baby’s temperature.  Our temperature regulating fabric is safe for your baby to use, and feels soft and luxurious to the touch. Moms agree that the fabric is super soft and comfortable on their babies.

What is a NASA inspired technical fabric?

It is a proprietary fabric that was first developed for NASA space suits.  It keeps babies at the ideal temperature by drawing away excess heat when babies get too warm, and releasing it when they start to cool down.   Fewer temperature fluctuations enable your baby to stay more comfortable, helping them to rest better.

Do you use flame retardant chemicals in your products?

No we do not.  

Our products have been tested and certified to comply with the requirements of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, California Proposition 65, and Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.  Both the Federal Hazardous Substances Act and California Proposition 65 address flame retardant chemicals to ensure the safety of children.

What is the Little Lotus 1:1 model?  How does my purchase help babies in need?

With your Little Lotus purchase, you are helping to ensure a baby in need gets access to a low cost incubator that we, at Embrace Innovations, designed for preterm and underweight babies in the developing world. Does Little Lotus charge sales tax?

We charge sales tax in California and Nevada only.

How long will my order take to ship?

We offer three different delivery options for orders shipping to the 48 contiguous states: Standard, Priority and Express. You can find the details on our Shipping page. We are currently shipping to only within the US when purchasing through our website.

Can I ship Little Lotus products outside of the US?

We are currently not shipping any products outside of the US.

How do I use the Little Lotus swaddle?

• Unzip the left zipper to open the entire front panel. Place the infant on top ensuring the neck is aligned with the neck opening.
• Place the front layer over the infant and secure the shoulder straps and left zipper. The arms can be placed inside the front layer for a tighter swaddle.
• Secure the zipper lock on the side. Do not use if the infant’s head can pass through the neck opening when closed.
• For an ideal swaddle, the wrap should be snug, but not tight.
• Right zipper slider allows for easy diaper access without disturbing the wings.
• Wrap wings behind swaddle or under the arms when infant shows signs of rolling over or breaks free from the swaddle.  Arms should be placed outside of the swaddle.  Do not place arms inside the front layer if infant is rolling over or shows signs of rolling over.  

How do I use the Little Lotus sleeping bag?

How should I care for my Little Lotus products?

Machine wash cold in a gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry low. Remove promptly from dryer to reduce wrinkles. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. For the swaddle, close the zipper, straps and swaddle wings, before washing. For the sleeping bag, close the zipper & straps before washing.

If you accidentally washed or dried your Little Lotus product in high temperature, it will not cause any harm to the proprietary fabric .  However, repeated occurrences will cause additional wear to the material and your Little Lotus product may not last as long.

What should my baby wear under Little Lotus swaddles or sleeping bags?

We recommend you dress your baby in an onesie or regular sleepwear under the swaddle or sleeping bag. The room temperature recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics is 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Your child’s room should be kept at a temperature that is comfortable for a lightly clothed adult.

What is your return policy?

We hope that you will love our products. If for whatever reason your Little Lotus does not work for you, we will give you a full refund within 30 days of your original purchase date. Any used products returned after 30 days will receive a Little Lotus credit in the amount of the purchase price. Please contact us here to start your return.
